Intelligent Submersible Turbine

The FE Petro Intelligent Submersible Turbine (IST) utilizes a Variable Frequency Controller to monitor pumping demand at the station forecourt.  By varying the RPM of the motor the pumping rate is controlled to maintain a constant flow rate at the dispenser nozzle.

Consider these specific features of the IST for your retail operations.
Constant Flow
Provides constant flow for up to eight nozzles at a predetermined flow rate set at installation.  Constant flow means faster fueling times during daily peak business periods.
Dry Running Protection
The IST monitors the power consumption of the motor allowing the Variable Frequency Controller to turn off the pump if the tank becomes empty. This means less bearing wear and longer motor life.
Meets EPA "Spitback" Control
The EPA requires a maximum flow rate per nozzle of ten GPM. To comply the maximum flow rate for one nozzle is adjusted at installation.  The IST will provide a constant flow rate for up to eight nozzles operating simultaneously.
High Quality Check Valve
FE Petro's proven line check valve at two and three quarters (70mm) in diameter reduces pressure loss at high flow rates resulting in faster fuel times and lower power consumption.
Simplified Servicing
The pump can be easily removed from the tank by removing three bolts.  There is no need to disconnect the siphon system, or remove the leak detector from the system to service the STP.
Variable Length Option
One pump fits ninety four percent of all known tank diameters and tank bury depth combinations.  Pump length is set at the job site in about twenty minutes without affecting the UL listing of the pump.
